Radmila Šekerinska

Radmila Šekerinska Jankovska ((マケドニア語:Радмила Шекеринска Јанковска) ; born 10 June 1972 in Skopje, SFR Yugoslavia, present-day the Republic of Macedonia) is the former leader of the Social Democratic Union of Macedonia (SDSM) and the leader of the opposition in the Macedonian Parliament.
Šekerinska was previously Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration and National Coordinator for Foreign Assistance of the Republic of Macedonia and also was the acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia from May 12, 2004 until June 12, 2004 and from November 3, 2004 until December 15, 2004. She was elected November 5, 2006 the SDUM leader.〔(Sekerinska elected leader of Macedonia's main opposition party )〕
Radmila Šekerinska was elected President of the Social Democratic Union of Macedonia at the party Congress following a no-confidence motion against the former leader Vlado Bučkovski. She left the position after September 2008 party congress. Zoran Zaev was appointed as her successor until May 2009, when president Branko Crvenkovski's term ended.〔(SDSM elects new president ), SETimes〕
During her term as a deputy Prime Minister responsible for European Affairs, the European Council in December 2005 granted the Republic of Macedonia a status of candidate country for accession to the European Union.〔(EUROPA - Rapid - Press Releases )〕

Radmila Šekerinska holds a Master's Degree from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, which she obtained in 2007. She graduated in 1995 from Skopje's Faculty of Electrical Engineering with a degree in Power Engineering.
